BREAKING: Massive Explosion at Iranian Port Leaves Four Dead and Over 500 Injured

A devastating explosion rocked the Port of Bandar Abbas in southwest Iran early Saturday, leaving at least four people dead and more than 500 injured, according to Iranian state media.

The blast, which shattered windows across several kilometers and caused widespread structural damage, has paralyzed operations at one of Iran’s most vital maritime hubs. Authorities have suspended all port activities indefinitely while emergency crews assess the full extent of the damage.

Preliminary reports suggest that improperly stored chemicals may have triggered the massive explosion, although investigations are still underway. Debris from the blast was scattered across a wide radius, and numerous buildings within the port complex sustained heavy damage.

Rescue teams are continuing to search through the rubble, with officials warning that additional victims may still be trapped beneath the wreckage.

The incident has raised concerns about industrial safety regulations in Iran, especially in major transport and shipping centers critical to the country’s economy.

This is a developing story. More updates to follow.
