Enrique Tarrio Calls for Pardon of Shane Lamond in J6-Linked Case, Urges Help from Pam Bondi and Ed Martin

Despite the widespread belief that President Donald Trump’s sweeping January 20th, 2025 pardon put an end to the political persecution of January 6 defendants, new revelations have exposed a chilling exception: former D.C. Metro Police Lieutenant Shane Lamond.

Now, from behind bars in a Kentucky federal prison, Enrique Tarrio, the former Proud Boys National Chairman, is raising his voice once again—not for himself, but for the man who once worked to keep Washington peaceful and coordinated: Shane Lamond.

A Case Built on Politics, Not Justice

Lamond is scheduled to be sentenced Friday, April 25th, after being convicted in a bench trial by notoriously partisan Judge Amy Berman Jackson—the same judge criticized by J6 families and legal experts alike for pushing ideological vendettas under the guise of judicial process.

Lamond was convicted of:

  • Obstruction of justice under D.C. law

  • Three counts of making false statements under federal law

But Lamond’s alleged “crimes” stem directly from his pre-J6 role as a liaison between the Metropolitan Police and the Proud Boys. His job was to ensure public safety and open communication—something that, until now, had been viewed as responsible law enforcement.

Did Lamond Tip Off Tarrio? Both Say No

The DOJ claims Lamond tipped off Tarrio in late 2020 about a warrant for his arrest related to the #BlackLivesMatter banner burning incident. But Tarrio himself—under oath during Lamond’s trial—denied receiving any advance warning.

“Lamond did not give me notice of my arrest,” Tarrio stated plainly in court.

Despite this testimony, Judge Jackson ignored it, dismissing Tarrio’s first-hand defense as irrelevant.

Retaliation for Refusing to Stay Silent

Lamond had initially been lined up to testify in Tarrio’s defense during his January 6 trial—a move that may have dismantled the government’s central narrative. But Lamond was threatened by the DOJ: testify, and face indictment.

He did not testify, yet was charged anyway.

This kind of retaliatory justice is not just unethical—it’s un-American.

Tarrio’s Plea: Help This Man Get Justice

From his prison cell, Enrique Tarrio is now rallying support for Lamond’s full pardon under the January 20th J6 clemency order, noting:

“Shane Lamond deserves to be free. He was doing his job. He was protecting the public. This is a political witch hunt.”

Tarrio and others are urging allies in Trump’s orbit to act now—specifically:

  • Pam Bondi, Trump ally and attorney

  • Ed Martin, a key legal figure in the post-J6 effort

Shane Lamond didn’t storm the Capitol. He didn’t riot. He didn’t commit any act of violence. He did his job. And for that, under this corrupt regime, he is now being punished.

He needs a pen stroke, not a prison sentence.
