Make America Safe Again: ICE Nabs Alleged Child Predator After Blue City Drops Charges

Illegal Alien Accused of Child Abduction and Sexual Exploitation Now in Federal Custody Pending Removal

In a victory for border enforcement and public safety, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has confirmed the arrest and detention of Hyrum Baquedano-Rodriguez, a 26-year-old illegal alien from Honduras, after local prosecutors in Fairfax County, Virginia, dropped disturbing charges against him—including child abduction and home invasion.

Baquedano-Rodriguez, who first illegally entered the United States near Yuma, Arizona in 2018, is now in ICE custody and awaiting removal to Honduras.

A Pattern of Predation Ignored by Local Courts

The arrest came just hours after a Fairfax County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court on May 2, 2025, dismissed serious charges against Baquedano-Rodriguez, including:

  • Abduction with intent to defile

  • Burglary with intent to murder, rape, or harm

Despite these horrific allegations, the charges were dropped, allowing ICE to immediately step in.

According to ICE’s official statement, Baquedano-Rodriguez poses an ongoing danger to American communities. “Though the court saw fit to drop his most recent charges, he has been convicted of numerous crimes in Virginia and represents a calamitous hazard to our residents,” said ICE Enforcement and Removal Operations (ERO) Washington D.C. Field Office Director Russell Hott.

Criminal History Timeline

ICE released a timeline showing Baquedano-Rodriguez’s multiple arrests and convictions:

  • August 2018: Illegally entered U.S. through Arizona; arrested and released on immigration bond in 2019.

  • November 2021: Arrested in Fairfax County for three counts of indecent liberties with a child, including indecent exposure.

  • October 2022: Convicted of disorderly conduct and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

  • November 2022: Convicted of property destruction and petit larceny.

  • March 2023: Again convicted of property crimes.

  • June 2024: Ordered removed by a DOJ immigration judge in Virginia.

  • May 2025: Child abduction and burglary charges dropped by court—ICE re-arrests him.

Each conviction tells a grim story of escalating criminal behavior, and ICE warns that Fairfax County’s decision to drop charges could have resulted in devastating consequences for the public.

ICE: “This Predator Will Not Walk Free Again”

“Every one of his convictions represents another one of our neighbors that Baquedano-Rodriguez has victimized,” said Director Hott. “ICE Washington D.C. will continue to prioritize public safety by arresting and removing criminal alien offenders from our communities.”

The agency added that Baquedano-Rodriguez will remain in ICE custody until his removal to Honduras is completed.

MAGA Message: Safety Over Sanctuary

The case is a stark reminder of the dangers posed by sanctuary policies that protect criminal aliens over law-abiding citizens. While left-leaning jurisdictions continue to offer safe haven to violent offenders, ICE’s enforcement sends a powerful message:

The era of ignoring predators is over. America is choosing safety.

ICE’s statement concluded with a clear call to action: “MAKING AMERICA SAFE AGAIN: This child sexual predator will remain in ICE custody pending his removal.”
