“Nobody Told Us That!” — Trump Torches Harvard Over Foreign Student Subsidies

In a blistering late-night Truth Social post, President Donald Trump unloaded on Harvard University, demanding accountability for what he calls the school’s “global welfare system”—where over 30% of students are foreign nationals, many from nations hostile to the U.S., and none of whom contribute to the billions in taxpayer dollars flowing into Ivy League coffers.

“We want those names and countries,” Trump said. “Harvard has $52,000,000, use it—and stop asking the Federal Government for more GRANT MONEY!”

This comes just weeks after the Trump administration froze $2.7 billion in research grants and $60 million in federal contracts for the university, citing national security concerns, DEI-fueled discrimination, and Harvard’s ties to authoritarian foreign regimes like the CCP.

The Foreign Free Ride

According to internal data revealed by Trump allies, nearly 1 in 3 students at Harvard are from foreign countries, yet those nations contribute nothing toward their citizens’ education. The president called it “a scam” that burdens American taxpayers with educating the world’s elite, while American families drown in student debt.

“Nobody told us that! And Harvard won’t tell us who they are. That’s unacceptable,” Trump wrote.

His administration has now moved to ban Harvard from issuing student visas until it complies with transparency demands and anti-discrimination laws.

Harvard in Crisis: Secret Coordination Exposed

The Wall Street Journal recently exposed a covert alliance between Harvard and other elite universities, describing a “private collective” formed to resist the Trump administration’s crackdown. This group reportedly shares negotiation tactics, “red lines,” and legal defense strategies against federal scrutiny.

Trump responded with fury:

“These schools have weaponized their influence, protected antisemitism, collaborated with enemy governments, and now want us to keep funding it all?”

Obama Judge Intervenes, But Trump Vows to Fight

On Friday, an Obama-appointed judge temporarily blocked the administration’s visa ban, but insiders say Trump is preparing a sweeping counteroffensive to target billions more in federal funding to schools that fail to comply with U.S. law and transparency demands.

The Bottom Line

Trump’s message is clear: No more blank checks. No more hiding. No more educating the globe on America’s dime. And unless Harvard complies, the once-untouchable Ivy League giant may be facing its biggest reckoning yet.

“You want diversity? Start with the truth,” Trump said.
“America First means Harvard Last if they don’t clean up their act.”
