Rep. Bonnie Coleman Melts Down Over ICE Facility Assault Investigation, Blames ‘White Supremacists’ in Profanity-Laced Rant

Democrat Lawmaker Denies Reality Caught on Video, Escalates with Explosive Racial Tirade

Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman (D-NJ) unleashed a furious and profanity-laced tirade on Thursday after being questioned about her involvement in a now-viral incident at the Delaney Hall Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey — where fellow Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver was filmed physically assaulting federal agents during an unauthorized entry into an ICE facility.

Despite the clear video evidence, Coleman is flatly denying the facts, accusing federal agents, the Trump administration, and critics of racism, white supremacy, and conspiracy in an effort to deflect from the growing backlash.

“That is bullsh*t. That is a bunch of crap,” Coleman shouted when asked about the altercation, which is now under active investigation by the Department of Justice.

What Really Happened at Delaney Hall?

Footage from the confrontation shows McIver screaming, shoving, and physically hitting federal agents in a chaotic scene alongside Coleman, Rep. Rob Menendez (D-NJ), and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka — who was arrested Friday for his role in the disturbance.

The group reportedly stormed the facility without proper clearance, demanding the release of illegal immigrants, including some with criminal records.

Coleman Spins, Shifts Blame to Race

Pressed about McIver’s actions, Coleman initially claimed, “She didn’t touch them,” before immediately contradicting herself:

“She may have, like, pushed away to get them off of her… but she didn’t body slam anybody.”

In a moment of complete deflection, Coleman then launched into a racial tirade aimed at law enforcement and the federal government:

“You know who the enemy is? The enemy is the enemy of the people, and that’s the white supremacist that you’re talking about.”

She accused America of becoming an “un-American society with a Unitarian government” and claimed Congress members are being “treated like the enemy.”

A Pattern of Rhetoric and Deflection

Coleman’s meltdown follows her behavior during a House hearing on Wednesday, where she launched a five-minute race-driven diatribe at HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., accusing the Trump administration of “racist attacks.”

Despite demanding answers, Coleman refused to yield time for any response and instead used the entire session to rant. Secretary Kennedy, maintaining composure, dismissed the outburst with professionalism when her time expired.

Republicans Consider Censure

With video evidence mounting and tensions rising, House Republicans are weighing a formal censure resolution against the lawmakers involved. The Department of Justice has confirmed the incident is under investigation, and further legal action may follow, particularly against McIver and Baraka.

Final Word: Denial, Deflection, and Dangerous Double Standards

Instead of addressing her role in a potentially criminal breach of federal protocol, Rep. Bonnie Watson Coleman has chosen to double down with denials, identity politics, and racial blame games.

What happened at Delaney Hall wasn’t peaceful oversight — it was a breach of law and decorum by elected officials who believe the rules don’t apply to them.

Accountability is not racism. Enforcement is not white supremacy. And being in Congress does not mean you are above the law.
