Tapper Book Alleges ‘Politburo’ Secretly Ran Biden White House

The Puppet Presidency Exposed?

In a revelation drawing comparisons to authoritarian regimes, a new book by Jake Tapper and journalist Alex Thompson alleges that President Joe Biden was not truly running the country—a secretive group of insiders, dubbed “The Politburo,” was.

According to “Original Sin,” the administration operated like a Soviet-style power structure, with Biden acting more like a ceremonial figurehead while five unelected individuals made major decisions on behalf of the nation.

Who Made Up the ‘Politburo’?

The five alleged power-brokers include:

  • Mike Donilon – Senior White House Adviser

  • Steve Ricchetti – Counselor to the President

  • Bruce Reed – Deputy Chief of Staff for Policy

  • Jill Biden – The First Lady

  • Hunter Biden – Yes, Hunter allegedly had a hand in national governance

Additionally, former Chief of Staff Ron Klain is said to have occasionally assisted the group.

One insider quoted in the book put it bluntly:

“Five people were running the country, and Joe Biden was at best a senior member of the board.”

Massive Decisions Made Without Cabinet Input

The book claims this inner circle wielded unchecked power, even sidelining key cabinet officials. One cabinet secretary was stunned to learn that monumental economic decisions were made without ever contacting Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen.

“I’ve never seen a situation like this before, with so few people having so much power,” the official told Tapper and Thompson.

Hunter Biden in the War Room?

Perhaps the most explosive detail is the suggestion that Hunter Biden, a man under federal investigation and with no elected authority, was among those calling the shots on major policy decisions. If true, this is an unprecedented breach of democratic norms—akin to nepotistic rule, not representative government.

The Biden Family Knew—and Didn’t Care

The book further reports that the group viewed Biden’s age not as a governing crisis but merely a “political vulnerability.” Jill and Hunter allegedly believed they could coast into a second term by promoting the administration’s policy wins—wins they had effectively engineered.

What About the Pardons?

As The Gateway Pundit has long reported, the unanswered question is this:
Who signed all those controversial pardons allegedly issued by Joe Biden?
Was it really him—or someone within the Politburo? Neither Tapper nor Thompson address this directly, despite reporting insider access to the very individuals in question.

Profit Over Patriotism

Let’s be clear—if these allegations are accurate, they represent one of the most severe breaches of executive power in modern American history. Yet Tapper and Thompson apparently chose to sit on the information for years, waiting to release it as a profitable book rather than alerting the public when it mattered most.

Commentary:
This isn’t journalism—it’s damage control disguised as a tell-all. The American people deserved transparency years ago, not a book tour. If the Biden White House was truly run like a Politburo, every citizen—regardless of party—should demand immediate accountability. Because in a republic, we elect leaders—we don’t inherit them.
