Ukrainian Group Molfar, Funded by USAID, Targets J.D. Vance, Elon Musk, and U.S. Figures with Smear Campaign

On Monday, a significant cyber attack disrupted the social media platform X, with Elon Musk later attributing the incident to IP addresses traced back to Ukraine. The attack caused hours-long outages across the platform.

Tensions are high as the Ukrainian government expresses frustration with President Trump and his team of advisors, who are pushing for reduced involvement in the ongoing conflict with Russia. Musk, a key figure in Trump’s efforts to streamline government operations and cut spending, has become a focal point of this discontent, drawing ire from Democrats and pro-war advocates alike.

According to a report from The Grayzone on Monday, a Ukrainian disinformation outfit named Molfar has been orchestrating a smear campaign against Musk and other pro-peace advocates. Shockingly, this group is reportedly backed by USAID funding, raising questions about the U.S. government’s role in promoting pro-war narratives in Ukraine and beyond.

The Grayzone uncovered that Molfar, linked to Ukrainian military intelligence, has labeled several prominent Americans as “foreign propagandists” for the Russian Federation. Among those targeted are Vice President J.D. Vance, Counterterrorism Director Joe Kent, and Representative Thomas Massie. The group’s online blacklist calls for their removal from public office, the imposition of sanctions, and investigations into alleged criminal ties.

Molfar’s list also includes other notable anti-war voices, such as:

Tucker Carlson
Vice President J.D. Vance
Elon Musk
This blacklist extends to a wide range of U.S. politicians, public figures, and journalists accused of aligning with Russia. The Grayzone provided evidence, including a screenshot, showing USAID as one of Molfar’s financial backers.

This revelation suggests that American taxpayer dollars are being used to fund a Ukrainian entity that spreads false narratives and attacks influential conservatives and peace advocates in the U.S.
