Wisconsin Supreme Court Election Looms as Crucial Battle for MAGA and the Nation’s Future

As the April 1 Wisconsin Supreme Court election approaches, the stakes could not be higher—not just for the Badger State, but for the entire trajectory of American politics. With ideological control of the court hanging in the balance, conservative leaders and voices from the MAGA movement are sounding the alarm.

Jack Posobiec: “This Is Bigger Than One Seat”

Appearing on Steve Bannon’s War Room, former Naval Intelligence officer and Human Events Daily host Jack Posobiec made clear what’s at stake.

“This Wisconsin Supreme Court seat is not just about one election – it’s about all the court cases that will come up – in 2026; in 2028; it’s about the census,” Posobiec warned.

He pointed to the years-long strategy by globalist and leftist forces—led by figures like George Soros—to seize control of American institutions through the judiciary, from District Attorneys to state Supreme Courts. The result? Courts weaponized against political opposition, where being an active Republican nearly became illegal—until Donald Trump stepped in.

The Race: Schimel vs. Crawford

This year’s open seat, vacated by retiring liberal Justice Ann Bradley, is the swing vote on a narrowly liberal 4-3 court. The race pits:

  • Judge Brad Schimel, a conservative Waukesha County Circuit Court judge and former Wisconsin Attorney General
    vs.
  • Judge Susan Crawford, a liberal Dane County judge with deep ties to leftist legal networks

If Schimel wins, conservatives flip the balance of power on the court. If Crawford wins, liberals lock in a majority through at least 2030—and with it, the power to dictate redistricting, election integrity rulings, and cultural decisions statewide.

Wisconsin’s National Significance

In 2024, President Trump carried Wisconsin by fewer than 30,000 votes, the narrowest of his victories. Now, with liberal activist groups pouring upwards of $100 million into the Supreme Court race, the fight has become a national battleground.

“They know if they flip that [Supreme Court seat], they take two [U.S. House] seats… they’re going to redistrict,” Bannon warned.

Wisconsin’s high court is expected to decide redistricting challenges, absentee ballot rules, and potentially the legal battles surrounding the 2026 and 2028 national elections. Control of Congress could hinge on this court.

Federal Power Struggles: MAGA vs. The Bench

The election comes amid mounting frustration on the right over judicial activism at both the federal and state levels. The poster child for this criticism is Judge James “Jeb” Boasberg, the D.C. judge who recently blocked Trump’s deportation order targeting illegal Venezuelan migrants—including violent criminals and gang members.

Boasberg, who previously denied basic due process to January 6 defendants, is now arguing that Venezuelan nationals are entitled to full individual hearings before deportation—prompting widespread outrage over what critics call a two-tiered justice system.

“Any person named Jeb should be automatically disqualified from the bench,” joked Mike Davis, former Senate Judiciary chief counsel and founder of the Article III Project.

Elise Stefanik, House Majority, and MAGA’s Next Move

The balance of power in the U.S. House is also razor-thin. Two special elections in Florida on April 1 could reduce the GOP majority to just one seat (218–217). Out of caution, President Trump has reportedly pulled Elise Stefanik’s nomination for UN Ambassador, avoiding a risky vacancy in her House seat.

This decision underscores the fragility of the MAGA coalition’s position in Congress, where every seat—and every judicial ruling—now carries enormous weight.

“Trump Is the American Cincinnatus”

Steve Bannon closed his Saturday remarks with a historical comparison rarely heard in modern political commentary:

“Trump is not just a historic figure. He is a figure at the level of Washington and Lincoln,” Bannon said.

“He knew what was coming—financial ruin, prison, even assassination—and still chose to lead. He saved this republic.”

What’s Next?

With so much hanging in the balance, MAGA forces are mobilizing for the final stretch in Wisconsin, where turnout will decide the ideological direction of the state—and potentially the nation—for years to come.

The Trump movement believes it is finally winning the information war, thanks to grassroots organizing and alternative media. But if they are to hold the line against the entrenched power of the judicial establishment, it starts with winning Wisconsin on April 1.

As Posobiec said plainly:

“They were building a one-party state. Trump stopped it. Now it’s our turn to finish the job.”
