Viral CIA Report Details Deadly Clash Between Soviet Troops and Aliens After UFO Shot Down by Missile

A decades-old CIA document is reigniting public interest—and controversy—after resurfacing online with a stunning claim: Soviet soldiers were allegedly turned into stone during a mysterious extraterrestrial encounter in the early 1990s.

While skeptics warn against drawing conclusions from dubious source material, others are stunned by the chilling level of detail and the implications the report presents if even partly true.

The Soviet UFO Encounter: What the Document Claims

According to the declassified file, obtained after the dissolution of the KGB in 1991, a UFO in Siberia was reportedly shot down by a Soviet military unit during routine exercises. The craft was described as a saucer-shaped, low-flying object, struck by a surface-to-air missile.

What happened next, if true, defies all conventional understanding of physics, biology—and warfare.

The CIA report, originally referencing accounts from the Canadian Weekly World News and Ukrainian paper Holos Ukrayiny, states that five humanoid aliens emerged from the wreckage, described as short, with large heads and black eyes.

These beings then reportedly merged into a single, spherical object, emitting a high-pitched buzzing before bursting into an intense flash of light. Within seconds, 23 Soviet soldiers were turned into what appeared to be stone statues, their bodies transformed on a molecular level into a substance akin to limestone.

Only two men survived—those who were standing in the shade and not directly exposed to the energy burst.

The KGB Files and CIA Commentary

The document includes direct quotes attributed to a CIA analyst:

“If the KGB file corresponds to reality, this is an extremely menacing case… The aliens possess such weapons and technology that go beyond all our assumptions. They can stand up for themselves if attacked.”

Reportedly, the petrified bodies and the UFO wreckage were transported to a secret scientific research facility near Moscow, where researchers allegedly confirmed that the soldiers’ tissues had been altered to a mineral composition indistinguishable from limestone.

Fact or Folklore?

Critics quickly point out that Weekly World News is a tabloid notorious for sensational headlines and fictitious reporting. The CIA document itself does not claim to verify the event—merely that it had been cataloged and included in a trove of foreign intelligence materials.

Nonetheless, some intelligence experts suggest that the very act of archiving such a report reveals the breadth of curiosity within the U.S. intelligence community, and how seriously Cold War-era agencies took even the most bizarre threats. It also highlights how intelligence services routinely collected and archived third-party press reports, regardless of credibility, for future reference.

Why This Story Refuses to Die

In today’s environment—where the Pentagon has acknowledged UAPs (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena), and bipartisan lawmakers push for full disclosure of government UFO records—the appetite for alien encounters with military consequences has never been higher.

Could this be a fantastical Cold War myth? A psychological operations artifact? Or is it something more unsettling: a forgotten confrontation with a non-human intelligence?

The lines between science fiction and classified history continue to blur. And until official investigations confirm or debunk this bizarre case, it remains an eerie reminder of how little we may truly know about what lurks above—or beyond—our world.

Whether truth, disinfo, or Cold War curiosity—the question stands: what really happened in Siberia that day?
