Senator John Kennedy (R-LA) lit up the Senate establishment during a fiery appearance on The Ingraham Angle, accusing lawmakers — including fellow Republicans — of refusing to move President Trump’s legislative agenda forward.
When host Laura Ingraham asked whether Republicans should consider scrapping the filibuster, Kennedy pivoted to a bigger problem: a do-nothing Senate that’s wasting time while the country needs action.
Kennedy said the Senate has passed just one major piece of legislation — which only succeeded because of Trump — and has since accomplished “zero, zilch, nada.”
“The Senate is not doing anything — and he’s right. We haven’t done anything,” Kennedy said.
“We passed the one big, beautiful bill… and since then, we’ve done nothing. Zero. Zilch. Nada.”
He added that every time he pushes leadership to pass another reconciliation bill — something Republicans can do without Democratic support — he’s ignored.
Kennedy didn’t sugar-coat his frustration:
“I don’t blame the President for being frustrated… We’ve been sitting on our ice-cold, lazy butts instead of passing his agenda.”
