Former ICE Director and current border czar Tom Homan isn’t letting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) off the hook after her theatrical taunt during a chaotic town hall in Queens. What started as a pro-Hamas disruption turned into a full-blown political debacle as AOC attempted to provoke Homan — and got a scorching response in return.
During her town hall, AOC took aim at Trump’s immigration policies and tried to mock Homan by saying, “Come for me, do I look like I care?” in response to his previous statement that she could be referred to the DOJ for advising illegal aliens on how to dodge ICE.
Homan didn’t hold back.
“I take pleasure that I can live in her mind rent-free every day,” Homan quipped on The Ingraham Angle Tuesday night. “She’s not helping immigrants—she’s educating criminals on how to defy the law.”
In classic Homan fashion, he flipped AOC’s rhetoric on its head — arguing that by encouraging defiance of lawful deportation orders, she may be crossing a legal line.
“You can’t hinder your own removal that was ordered by a federal judge,” Homan stated. “I would like AOC to read Title 8, United States Code 1253, because it’s starting tomorrow.”
Homan revealed that he had already contacted the Deputy Attorney General to explore whether AOC’s so-called “know-your-rights” webinars for illegal aliens constitute obstruction of justice.
“Is she impeding federal law enforcement?” Homan asked. “That’s what DOJ needs to determine — because enough is enough.”
AOC’s stunt, meant to energize her radical base, may have just escalated into a legal battle. If DOJ pursues the case, it could set a precedent for whether elected officials can actively assist illegal aliens in evading federal immigration enforcement.
As Homan made crystal clear: advising lawbreaking is not activism — it’s obstruction.
