Rep. Brandon Gill to File Articles of Impeachment Against Judge James Boasberg Over Immigration Ruling
Washington, D.C. – Representative Brandon Gill (R-TX) has announced plans to file articles of impeachment against U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, following his decision to temporarily block President Trump’s use of the Alien Enemies Act of 1798 to deport Venezuelan gang members.
Judge Boasberg, an Obama appointee, issued a 14-day temporary restraining order over the weekend, halting the administration’s deportation flights of Tren de Aragua members—a violent Venezuelan gang designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. The move forces any flights already in progress to turn around and return to the U.S.
In response, Rep. Gill declared his intent to hold the judge accountable.
“I’ll be filing Articles of Impeachment against activist judge James Boasberg this week,” Rep. Gill announced on X.
Judge Boasberg’s Ruling Blocks Trump’s Plan to Remove Criminal Gangs
On Saturday, President Trump invoked the Alien Enemies Act, an emergency wartime law, to expedite the removal of criminal aliens without lengthy immigration proceedings. The law, dating back to 1798, was designed to protect American citizens from foreign threats during times of conflict.
However, Judge Boasberg’s intervention halted this effort, effectively shielding violent gang members from immediate deportation. The move has sparked outrage among conservatives, who argue that activist judges are deliberately undermining national security and border enforcement.
Attorney Mike Davis Calls for Action Against “America-Hating Judge”
Attorney Mike Davis, founder of the Article III Project, joined Steve Bannon’s War Room to discuss the dangers of judicial overreach and the urgent need to remove Boasberg.
Davis outlined a two-step plan to hold Judge Boasberg accountable:
- Sign the petition to remove Boasberg.
- Call your Senators and Representatives to demand impeachment proceedings.
Davis called Boasberg a “very, very dangerous and lawless lunatic” who is pressuring Trump to keep violent criminals on U.S. streets.
How to Take Action Against Judicial Overreach
To support Rep. Gill’s impeachment efforts, Davis and Bannon are urging Americans to call Congress and demand action.

The Growing Battle Over Judicial Overreach
Judge Boasberg’s ruling is the latest example of activist judges obstructing Trump’s America First agenda. Critics argue that Boasberg’s decision prioritizes the rights of foreign criminals over the safety of American citizens.
This impeachment effort marks a significant moment in the battle over judicial accountability. Will Congress move to remove Boasberg? Or will activist judges continue to defy the will of the American people?
