President Donald Trump is expected to sign two major executive orders today, aimed at reasserting federal authority over law enforcement and cracking down on Democrat-led sanctuary cities that harbor criminal illegal aliens.
At a press briefing Monday morning, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt outlined the administration’s plans, emphasizing that the executive orders will “strengthen and unleash America’s law enforcement to pursue criminals and protect innocent citizens,” and “protect American communities from criminal aliens.”

According to Leavitt, these sanctuary jurisdictions are “obstructing the enforcement of federal immigration laws” and may soon face felony charges if they continue to violate federal mandates.
Border Czar Tom Homan and White House Deputy Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, in conversations with The Gateway Pundit, indicated that sanctuary cities’ actions amount to “systemic criminal violations” and warned that prosecutions could be forthcoming.
A Broader Push to Restore Law and Order
The second executive order will bolster local and federal law enforcement agencies, giving them greater freedom to pursue violent criminals without political interference. The Trump administration aims to restore public safety after what it described as four years of chaos fueled by President Biden’s “open border policies” that allowed over 10 million illegal aliens into the country.
During today’s briefing, Leavitt cited numerous tragic cases — including the murders of Laken Riley, Jocelyn Nungary, and Rachel Morin — as examples of innocent Americans killed due to Biden’s failure to secure the border.
“The first 100 days of the Trump Presidency have undoubtedly been the most monumental and historic of any administration in American history,” Leavitt said, adding that Trump has already signed more than 140 executive orders, nearing Biden’s four-year total.
