Co-signed by Representatives Jim Jordan (OH), Eli Crane (AZ), Paul Gosar (AZ), Andy Biggs (AZ), and Andy Ogles (TN), the letter exposes what the lawmakers describe as a systematic and politically driven campaign of intimidation and retaliation against law-abiding citizens.

Representative Hamadeh’s letter expresses outrage over how ordinary parents—exercising their protected rights to free speech and peaceful assembly—were surveilled, investigated, and even prosecuted under the false label of “domestic terrorists.” The targeting stemmed largely from an infamous 2021 memo issued by Attorney General Merrick Garland, which urged federal coordination with local school officials and law enforcement to monitor dissent at school board meetings.
“This coordinated purposeful targeting and mistreatment of concerned parents must be addressed by the FBI and Attorney General on a high-priority level,” writes Hamadeh.

Parents who simply raised objections to curriculum policies, mask mandates, or school transparency initiatives were met not with dialogue, but with handcuffs and court dates. “Those who authorized or carried out these actions—including public school administrators—must be held responsible,” wrote Walker. “On behalf of many parents and families across the nation, I want to thank Representative Hamadeh for sponsoring this letter, and for the continued support of Representatives Crane, Gosar, Ogles, Biggs, and Jordan.”
