Four drag performers, including two bearded men in dresses, staged a symbolic protest in response to Trump’s recent cultural overhaul of the Kennedy Center and broader crackdown on far-left diversity initiatives.
The protest came after President Trump’s appointment as Chairman of the Kennedy Center’s Board of Trustees, where he quickly moved to defund the institution’s taxpayer-subsidized drag shows, queer-only programming, and hyper-woke DEI policies. During a recent board dinner at the White House, Trump pulled no punches, slamming the past administration’s use of the venue as a playground for progressive ideology, citing programs like “Lesbian Only Shakespeare” and anti-police monologues as “very inappropriate shows, to put it nicely.”
