Comer Fires Off Letter to Dr. Kevin O’Connor: “Was the American People Lied To?”
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) has formally summoned White House Physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor to testify under oath regarding his medical assessments of former President Joe Biden, citing explosive concerns over alleged conflicts of interest, political interference, and a coordinated cover-up of Biden’s mental and physical decline.
In a letter sent Thursday, Comer requested a transcribed interview scheduled for June 25, 2025, warning that the Committee intends to determine whether O’Connor’s professional relationship with the Biden family led to misleading public health assessments—particularly as the Biden White House unraveled under scandal after scandal.
“The Committee remains interested in whether your financial relationship with the Biden family affected your assessment of former President Biden’s physical and mental fitness to fulfill his duties as President.”
Ties to the Twenty-Fifth Amendment
The letter makes it clear that this investigation isn’t just about accountability—it’s about revisiting legislative safeguards under Section 4 of the 25th Amendment, which deals with presidential incapacitation.
“Congress must explore whether new legislation is needed to ensure transparency and prevent future administrations from hiding critical medical information,” Comer wrote.
Autopen Scandal, Cancer Diagnosis, and Hur Interview: The Dominoes Fall
The Committee’s inquiry follows months of cascading revelations:
-
Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interview tapes portrayed a confused and forgetful Biden, reinforcing claims of cognitive decline.
-
Visitor logs showed a Parkinson’s disease specialist visiting the White House at least 10 times between 2022 and 2024.
-
The autopen pardon scandal raised serious questions about who was truly running the presidency.
-
A cancer diagnosis previously unacknowledged by the White House was quietly confirmed earlier this month.
Despite these red flags, O’Connor continued to assert there were “no neurological disorders” and that visits by Parkinson’s experts were routine “neurology clinics” for active-duty support staff.
Comer isn’t buying it. The Committee believes these explanations may have been deliberately crafted to mislead Congress and the American people.
The Circle of Silence: Five Key Biden Aides Targeted
Dr. O’Connor isn’t the only one in the Oversight Committee’s sights. Comer has also demanded testimony from four additional top aides:
-
Neera Tanden – Former Domestic Policy Council Director
-
Anthony Bernal – Advisor to First Lady Jill Biden
-
Annie Tomasini – Former Deputy Chief of Staff
-
Ashley Williams – Former Oval Office Deputy Director
All are believed to have played roles in what Comer calls a “coordinated cover-up” surrounding Biden’s health and capacity to lead.
What Comes Next?
Dr. O’Connor has until May 29 to confirm his appearance. Should he refuse or delay, expect subpoenas and potential contempt charges to follow. The Committee may also pursue criminal referrals to the Department of Justice for any witnesses found to have obstructed the investigation or falsified public records.
This case isn’t just about medical integrity—it’s about constitutional crisis, election integrity, and whether the American people were deceived by those entrusted with the presidency.
June 25 could be the day the White House physician answers for the truth—or for a cover-up that shook the nation.
