Hunter Biden Gets the Only Hand-Signed Pardon as Autopen Scandal Engulfs Final Weeks of Joe Biden’s Presidency
A political firestorm is erupting over newly revealed details surrounding Joe Biden’s use of an autopen to issue presidential pardons in the final weeks of his presidency—except in one glaring case.
According to new reports from Fox News and The Gateway Pundit, over 1,500 pardons and clemency orders—many of them issued to high-profile allies like Anthony Fauci and General Mark Milley—were not signed by Joe Biden himself, but by an autopen. The revelations have sparked fresh concerns about who was truly making executive decisions inside the Biden White House during his final days.
But amid the long list of machine-signed documents, one name stood out for receiving personal attention from the former president: Hunter Biden.
In a rare exception, Joe Biden personally signed a full blanket pardon for his embattled son. The pardon, dated December 1st, 2024, covers Hunter’s alleged federal crimes from 2014 to 2024—including those involving guns, taxes, sex trafficking, foreign lobbying, and corrupt business dealings in Ukraine and China.
The pardon immediately ended the federal gun and tax cases that had dogged Hunter for years, which had been heavily criticized for DOJ interference and delay tactics that allowed several serious charges to lapse under the statute of limitations. IRS whistleblowers had accused the Biden Justice Department of deliberately slow-walking the investigation.
The autopen scandal deepens existing questions about Joe Biden’s mental and physical fitness to hold office in his final days—and raises the uncomfortable question:
If Biden didn’t sign the other pardons, who did?
Attorney General Merrick Garland’s controversial decision to appoint Robert Weiss—the very prosecutor accused of sabotaging the Hunter Biden case—as special counsel only adds fuel to the fire.
For now, the only certainty is this: Hunter Biden received the only hand-signed get-out-of-jail card from his father, while the rest of the country got a mechanical facsimile.
