A Democrat member of Congress is under fire after shocking ICE bodycam footage revealed Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) physically assaulted and verbally abused federal immigration officers during a chaotic confrontation at the newly expanded Delaney Hall detention facility in Newark, New Jersey.

ICE officials say the Delaney Hall expansion—approved under Trump’s new immigration mandate—streamlines removals and detentions with its proximity to a major international airport. Acting ICE Director Caleb Vitello defended the facility:
“This center allows us to fulfill President Trump’s mandate to detain and remove those here illegally with greater efficiency and safety.”
