“It’s Disgusting!” – Tom Homan Rips Rep. McIver After ICE Assault, Confirms More Deportations Coming After SCOTUS Ruling

Former ICE Director Tom Homan didn’t mince words after Democrat Rep. LaMonica McIver was indicted for physically assaulting federal agents at the Delaney Hall Detention Center in Newark, New Jersey. Speaking exclusively to The Gateway Pundit at the White House, Homan blasted McIver’s response to the charges and confirmed that a surge in deportations is expected following a major Supreme Court ruling.

McIver, along with fellow New Jersey Democrats Bonnie Watson Coleman and Sen. Bob Menendez, stormed the ICE facility earlier this month in an effort to interfere with the arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, who was detained during the confrontation for obstructing an ICE operation targeting criminal aliens. Video footage confirms McIver shoved, struck, and screamed at agents, attempting to block their lawful duties.

ICE Agents Attacked, Then Smeared

U.S. Attorney Alina Habba formally charged McIver with assaulting, impeding, and interfering with federal law enforcement—a serious felony offense. “No one is above the law—politicians or otherwise,” Habba said in her announcement Monday evening.

But instead of taking accountability, McIver released a statement attacking ICE officers, calling the charges “political” and accusing agents of “creating an unsafe environment.” Watson Coleman doubled down, going on a profane, race-baiting tirade, calling the ICE operation “bullsh*t” and blaming “White supremacists” for the incident.

Tom Homan wasn’t having it.

“It’s disgusting,” he told The Gateway Pundit. “The tape speaks for itself. While these people are sleeping comfortably at night, ICE agents are out risking their lives arresting public safety and national security threats. She should be thanking them—not attacking them.”

“It’s beyond offensive to compare these agents to White supremacists. It’s shameful and it’s a slap in the face to every officer on the front lines.”

Supreme Court Clears the Way for More Deportations

Homan also responded to the Supreme Court’s decision this week to uphold President Trump’s authority to revoke Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for roughly 350,000 Venezuelan nationals currently residing in the U.S.

“We’re going to have more deportations,” Homan confirmed. “If they don’t have lawful status, that means they need to be deported. It’s as simple as that.”

The ruling lifts a previous block imposed by lower courts and represents a major legal victory for Trump’s immigration agenda, giving federal agents a green light to resume deportations previously halted under TPS protections.

Bottom Line: ICE Agents Enforce the Law—Even When Politicians Break It

The events in Newark are shaping up to be a watershed moment in the immigration battle. With Democrats caught on tape physically attacking federal agents while defending criminal aliens, and with the Supreme Court backing Trump’s enforcement policies, the battle lines are clearly drawn.

Tom Homan says the message is simple: “If you interfere with federal law enforcement, you will be held accountable—whether you’re a mayor or a member of Congress.”
