Just days after sparking nationwide outrage with a cryptic Instagram post interpreted by many as a veiled call for violence against President Donald Trump, disgraced former FBI Director James Comey has taken things even further—this time targeting the entire MAGA movement with a disturbing threat.
The Controversial “86 47” Message
Earlier this month, Comey ignited controversy when he posted an image of seashells arranged to spell “86 47” with the caption, “Cool shell formation on my beach walk.”
For anyone familiar with political slang, the meaning was hard to miss. “86” is widely understood as code for “kill,” and “47” is an obvious reference to Trump, who—after reclaiming the White House—will be the 47th President of the United States.
Coming from a former top law enforcement official, the implication wasn’t just inappropriate—it was stunningly dangerous.
Doubling Down on MSNBC
Rather than walk back the post, Comey doubled down in an interview with former Biden mouthpiece Jen Psaki on MSNBC, where he not only dodged accountability for the sinister message but used the platform to issue a dark warning to Republicans and Trump supporters.
As the conversation shifted to the Trump administration’s crackdown on the weaponization of government—especially the dismantling of the so-called Office of Public Integrity—Comey showed his true colors.
He sneered at Republicans, saying, “I know Republicans these days aren’t big in thinking about principle or precedent.”
Then came the warning:
“They’re gonna be deeply sorry that [these offices] disappear, because someday there will be a Democratic president and there’ll be investigations of Republican officeholders… If I’m them, I sure would want these career people in place making sure that it’s done in the right way.”
Translation: Obey the Deep State—or Face Retaliation
Comey’s remarks amount to a thinly veiled threat: if Republicans clean house and root out partisan operatives from federal agencies, they’ll be “sorry” once Democrats return to power.
The message to MAGA Nation couldn’t be clearer: Submit—or prepare to be punished.

This isn’t the first time Comey has revealed the rot within the institutions he once led. Under his watch, the FBI initiated a politically motivated investigation into Trump based on debunked dossiers, fake evidence, and biased actors like Peter Strzok and Lisa Page.
