Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum Stokes Chaos in Los Angeles, Issues Veiled Threat Over U.S. Immigration Policy

In a move that shocked U.S. lawmakers and escalated already volatile tensions in Los Angeles, Mexico’s President Claudia Sheinbaum openly defended violent anti-ICE rioters and issued a thinly veiled threat against America’s sovereignty—all while U.S. cities burn and National Guard troops battle to restore law and order.

Applauding an Insurrection

As ICE agents carried out lawful immigration enforcement operations in Los Angeles on Friday, leftist agitators erupted into full-blown riots. Police were attacked with rocks and fireworks. Vehicles were torched. Property was vandalized. The chaos spilled into the weekend, forcing President Trump to federalize the California National Guard after local Democrat leaders failed to act.

Rather than condemning the violence, Sheinbaum fanned the flames, referring to the rioters as “good men and women” and insisting they were merely fighting to support their families. In reality, these were coordinated attacks on federal officers and American infrastructure, encouraged now by a foreign head of state.

“They are not criminals!” Sheinbaum declared from Mexico City. “They are good men and women!”

A Direct Threat to U.S. Policy

Sheinbaum didn’t stop there. She warned the U.S. that if it dares tax remittances—money illegal immigrants send home to Mexico, which makes up nearly 4% of Mexico’s GDP—there would be consequences. The implication? Further unrest, further riots, and further defiance.

This is economic blackmail and political incitement, all wrapped in diplomatic doublespeak.

A Foreign Power Undermining U.S. Sovereignty

Sheinbaum’s words represent more than just posturing—they’re a direct assault on U.S. law enforcement and a challenge to American sovereignty. Her statements encourage lawlessness, embolden criminal elements within the U.S., and seek to leverage America’s domestic unrest for foreign economic gain.

Where Are Our Leaders?

While President Trump acted swiftly by deploying the National Guard, Democrats like Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass continue to cower behind political correctness, refusing to condemn Sheinbaum or the violent mobs terrorizing Los Angeles.

This raises a critical question: How long can America afford to tolerate open hostility from a foreign leader while our cities burn?
