What’s Really Going On? Bizarre Inconsistencies in Minnesota Assassin’s ‘Hit List’ Raise Red Flags

The shocking political assassination that rocked Minnesota over the weekend has taken a bizarre turn as the alleged “hit list” of shooter Vance Luther Boelter was released—and it’s filled with glaring inconsistencies that raise more questions than answers.

Boelter, a Tim Walz appointee and head of an international security firm, was arrested after allegedly targeting two DFL lawmakers and their spouses in brutal home invasions dressed as a police officer. Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were killed. Senator John Hoffman and his wife Yvette were seriously wounded.

But now, the alleged hit list found in Boelter’s possession has ignited a new controversy—because it simply doesn’t make sense.

ODDITY #1: John Hoffman—A Victim—Wasn’t Even on the List

Despite being one of the apparent primary targets of the attack, Senator John Hoffman’s name is nowhere to be found on the document being presented as the assassin’s “hit list.” If this was truly a premeditated operation guided by this list, why would the shooter target someone not even mentioned?

ODDITY #2: A Deceased Senator Is Listed

Even stranger: Former State Senator Kari Dziedzic, who passed away from cancer in December 2023, is listed as a target. Boelter, a well-connected political insider, would almost certainly have known she was deceased. Was this list truly his, or is it an outdated artifact being repackaged as motive?

ODDITY #3: Outdated Whip Counts and Duplicate Names

Investigative journalist Dustin Grage pointed out that the list appears to contain whip counts from a prior Minnesota legislature—not the current one. That, along with at least one individual being listed twice, suggests the list was copied, manipulated, or generated using old data.

ODDITY #4: Out-of-Office Officials Still Listed

Another notable inclusion is Mike Freeman, the former Hennepin County Attorney who has been out of office for more than two years. His presence on the list further supports the theory that this document is not operational intelligence, but rather a messy or recycled political artifact.

A Narrative in Question

These discrepancies have ignited speculation across social media platforms. Is this the real list? Was there a larger network involved? Or is the public being fed a sanitized or misleading narrative to cover up inconvenient political links?

What’s certain is that the mainstream press has shown little interest in scrutinizing the inconsistencies, despite their explosive implications.

If this list was central to Boelter’s alleged motive, then why is it riddled with errors, outdated names, and irrelevant targets?

And if it wasn’t central—what was?

Final Thoughts

With ties to state leadership, a background in international security, and now a muddled motive shrouded in conflicting documentation, the case of Vance Boelter is spiraling into something far more complex than a lone gunman narrative.

In an age of disinformation and political cover, one truth remains: we’re not getting the full story.
